Virtual Autopsy Global Solutions Launches International Scientific Collaboration Group

April 2026 - Virtual Autopsy Global Solutions has officially launched its Scientific Collaboration Group, a new international initiative aimed at advancing research, innovation, and best practices in PMCT and Virtual Autopsy.
The collaboration brings together a distinguished network of experts from the fields of forensic medicine, radiology, anthropology, and medical imaging, united by a shared vision to strengthen global research and foster multidisciplinary scientific exchange in forensic imaging.
The inaugural members of the collaboration group include:
İlayda Şam – The Council of Forensic Medicine, Türkiye
Kubra Korbıcak Durmus – Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Türkiye
Madalina Diac – University of Medicine “Grigore T Popa” Iași, Romania
Chathurika Premaratne – Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka
Amalia Ionescu – National Institute of Legal Medicine, Romania
The group will be chaired by Dr Hemanth Naik, Chief Medical Officer of Virtual Autopsy UK, who will lead the initiative’s efforts in promoting collaborative research, knowledge sharing, and innovation-driven forensic imaging practices across international institutions.
The formation of the Scientific Collaboration Group marks another important step in strengthening global partnerships and accelerating the future development of non-invasive forensic investigation technologies.
