July 30th, 2025 - In a significant stride for forensic science in Europe, the University of Crete's Department of Forensic Medicine, Anthropology & Imaging has become the first institution on the continent to receive the VizTouch3D Forensic Specific Dissection Table. This cutting-edge technology, delivered by Virtual Autopsy Global Solutions, marks a proud moment for innovation and promises to revolutionise forensics and anthropological education and research within the region.

The successful acquisition and implementation of this advanced dissection table was made possible through the visionary leadership of Associate Professor Elena Kranioti and her dedicated team at the University of Crete.
