A Historic Gathering at IAFS 2026: Advancing Global Forensic Science in Sofia

Virtual Autopsy Global Solutions recently had the privilege of attending the 24th Triennial Meeting of the International Association of Forensic Sciences (IAFS 2026) in the beautiful city of Sofia, Bulgaria. Represented by our CEO, Ash Govind, and CMO, Dr Hemanth Naik, we joined over 2,000 leading minds from across the globe at the National Palace of Culture for this historic event, the first of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe. Perfectly embodying its theme of "Working Together," the conference provided an extraordinary platform to reconnect with esteemed colleagues and forge meaningful new relationships with experts across the forensic community. A particular highlight was the joint ISFRI 2026 programme, marking the first time the International Society of Forensic Radiology and Imaging congress was held alongside IAFS, generating exceptional interdisciplinary dialogue around the advancement of forensic imaging and radiology, discussions that resonated deeply with our mission at Virtual Autopsy Global Solutions.

The response to our presence at the conference was both humbling and inspiring. Throughout the week, Ash and Dr Hemanth were approached by a remarkable number of researchers, pathologists, radiologists, and institutional representatives from around the world, all eager to learn more about our pioneering technology and the VizOpsy™ ecosystem. The level of enthusiasm and curiosity from the global forensic community served as a powerful reminder of just how ready the world is for this transformation in post-mortem practice. As the world's leading provider of end-to-end Virtual Autopsy (PMCT) infrastructure, we remain committed to supporting governments, forensic institutions, and law enforcement worldwide, and we warmly invite you to explore our solutions as we continue working together to strengthen justice systems and advance forensic science globally.
